‘Informed Youth : Increased Accountability’ – Janakpur Chapter

AYON with the support of UNDP Nepal has completed its 3rd phase of ‘Informed youth: Increased Accountability’ training in Janakpur, Province 2 with the objective to increase youth participation in policy formulation at the provincial and local level.

Through this project, 30 youths; inclusive of various age, district, gender and disability from Province 2 were sensitized about the parliamentary and law-making processes at the provincial and local levels. We believe that by arming the youth with the knowledge of policy mechanisms in various federal structures, equipping them with the tools of advocacy, and empowering them with the belief that their voices matter, we will create youths that can advocate for youth-friendly, and SDG oriented policies and budget.

These informed change-makers will represent the voices of the youth and create an environment of participatory dialogue and help to create accountable parliaments.
