Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON) with the support of IFES Nepal and USAID Nepal conducted a 3 – day residential training in Hotel Kalptaru, Banke in order to empower the youths on democracy, election and leadership.
The Democracy Camp was designed to bring youths in a common platform to discuss about democratization, new administrative processes, and the role of youths and their engagement in their local community.
The camp was very much fruitful for the local people in the district, who were not properly informed about the electoral processes, and also the importance of democracy and good governance for building a nation.
“People shouldn’t be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.”
