” Localizing SDGs among the newly elected Local Government Representatives ”
With the partnership of local NGO – ‘Samajik Sewa tatha Bikas Manch’ in Arghakanchi district, ‘Bipan Yuwa Uthan Kendra’ in Bajhang district and ‘Janajyoti Yuwa Samaj’ & ‘District Youth Network’ in Sarlahi district, Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON), in collaboration with Restless Development Nepal – रेस्ट्लेस् डिवेलप्मेटं नेपाल and UNFPA Nepal, have conducted Orientation on localizing SDGs in Arghakanchi, Bajhang and Sarlahi districts on 18th December and 21st December respectively.
Around 37 local representatives from Sandhikhargha Municipality & Malarani Rural Municipality in Arghakanchi, 34 participants from Jaya Prithivi Municipality & Bitthadchir Rural Municipality and 30 local elected representatives from Malangwa Municipality & Ram Nagar Rural Municipality in Sarlahi participated in this program.
The main aim of the program was to localize SDGs and update the importance of the global goals in all three districts as well as the whole country, with the help of the newly elected local government representatives of the district.
The local government representatives showed their commitment to connect their Political Agendas with global goals and determination for achieving them for the sustainable development in their municipalities.
