Youth Organizations Mapping for SDGs in Nepal

AYON has been assigned as coordinator of Youth and Adolescents Major Group Constituency in the Nepal SDG Forum, a forum of CSO formed by leading networks and organizations working for SDGs in Nepal. AYON is one of the leading youth networks that has been involved in raising the voices of youth in the SDGs process from the very beginning, from MDG Review, RIO +20 to Post 2015 consultations and negotiations. AYON worked with CSOs, UN Agencies and Government in the post 2015 process to mainstream youth issues in goals and targets. Our mission still continues in contextualizing and localizing SDGs that is responsive to youth and other marginalized and disadvantaged groups.

AYON intends to map youth organizations who are working or are planning to work on the 17 goals in Nepal. We are planning to create Nepal SDG Youth Alliance to better coordinate and align youth voices and meaningful participation in the SDG implementation, monitoring and accountability framework in Nepal.
