AYON forums

AYON forums are monthly program that are organized Sunday of Nepalese month. The forums are of half day long starting from 1 pm till 5 pm.

The purpose of AYON forums is to share the strengths and expertise of AYON member organisations to strengthen member organization's skill and also to know each other better . The forums are either thematic which involves sharing and discussion on certain topics and themes or skills training workshops which involved sharing of practical skills on various areas.

Every month a theme will be decided and one or more of the AYON member organisations will coordinate the forum.

Participation in the AYON forums is open to all AYON member organisations and also to interested young people.

 
 
Youth Mapping

AYON is carrying out the mapping of youth organisations. The mapping exercise involves collecting and collating information about youth organisations, their contacts and areas of work.

The purpose of the youth mapping is to identify and document youth organisations and their work.

The youth mapping will result in a database of youth organisations.

Public hearing

AYON organises bi-monthly public hearing programs. The public hearings are organised on various contemporary youth issues and national concerns. It will be participated by youths, youth organisations and other interested individuals and organisations from various walks of life.

The purpose of the public hearings are to discuss and debate of various issues that affects youth and to advocate and lobby for youth policies and programs.

Participation in the AYON public hearings is open to AYON member organisations and to anyone interested.

Youth in Development Partnership

Youth in Development Partnership (YDP) is an award program that promotes youth involvement in development and supports innovative youth projects from youth-led, youth-run organisations. It is an open and transparent competition with minimum cost and bureaucracy. The YDP's goal is to create a synergy where the youth of the nation and myriad youth organizations/groups representing them, come to seek common grounds and platforms, whereupon their issues and agenda can be consolidated and united into a national mainstream and geared for development through their innovative projects.

Through a nation-wide open competition among youth-led organisations 7 innovate ideas/proposals will be selected for a funding up to NRs. 300,000.

The call for proposals will begin during mid February 2006.

Capacity development training

AYON conducts various training programs for its member organisations and other interested youth organisations.

The purpose of the training are to develop capacities of youth organisations on various areas like leadership, management, fundraising, etc.

Participation in the training programs is open to AYON member organisations and to interested youth organisations.
