AYON invites all eligible youth organisations in Nepal to join AYON.
AYON membership criteria include:
1.
Membership shall be open to youth organisations in Nepal which fulfills the AYON definition of youth organisation. AYON defines youth organisations as those organisations which are run by young people between the ages of 16-35, conducting activities for youth development. These organisations should have at least 75% of its membership and executive committee between ages of 16-35.
2 .
The youth organisation shall have been in legal existence for at least one year.
3 .
The youth organisation shall be registered at any one District Administration Office in Nepal.
4 .
In case of branch youth organisations, qualifying criteria 1 and 2; their application should be supported by a letter of recommendation from their mother organisation and a copy of registration certificate of the mother organisation.
5 .
AYON does not entertain individual membership.
 
Rights and Responsibilities of Members
•
All legitimate members shall have the right to be represented in the AYON General Assembly and to elect and be elected to the Executive Committee.
•
Each member organisation will have one vote during the General Assemblies.
•
Members shall abide by the Constitution, rules and regulations, resolutions, and decisions of the organization.
•
Members shall take part actively in the activities of the organization.
•
Members shall work for the objectives of AYON.

 
Application for Membership
1.
Youth Organizations who wish to apply for AYON membership shall submit the completed Membership Application form along with a written application stating the their organisations' intention to join AYON.
2 .
The organisation shall also submit a copy of its registration certificate, constitution, latest annual report, latest audit report, and other relevant documents as may be required by the Executive Committee.
3 .
All membership application are screened and reviewed by the Membership Committee. Membership Committee will also consult with the concerned Regional Vice President for their recommendation.
4 .
Membership committee will then forward the applications of those fulfilling the criteria for membership application to the Executive Committee through the President.
5 .
The executive committee shall include the application of such organisation into the agenda of the next executive committee meeting.
 
Approval of Membership

The executive committee shall make the final decisions on membership. A simple majority of votes present shall be required for admission of the applying organization.

 
Disqualifications
Applicants who do not meet the membership requirements as stated above.
 
Membership fees

Those organizations having more than Rs.50,000 annual monetary transaction have to pay Rs.1000 as a annual membership fees and organizations having less than Rs.50,000, as an annual monetary  transaction have to pay only Rs. 500 as a annual membership fees but the first time entry registration fees is Rs. 500 for both cases. The membership fees will cover the period of Shrawan till Asar of the next year (Mid July till Mid June of the proceeding year). If the membership dues are not paid within mid June, there will be applicable late fee charge.
