Eligibility Criteria

Participation
YDP is open to any youth groups with a good innovative idea to share:
Youth-led Organisations (NGOs and CBOs) run and led by youths 16-35 years old
Youth Clubs
Youth or Student groups based in schools/ colleges/ universities
Free Student Unions
 
Joint applications from two or more organisations are also accepted.

Proposals will have to be submitted with a copy of the organisation's legal registration certificate. College/ university based youth groups who don't have registration must have letter of support from their respective institute.

 
Areas
To be eligible to compete, proposals must reflect the theme youth in development partnership in any of the following areas:

a.
Education
b.
Health
c.
Employment, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood
d.
Youth Participation
e.
Infrastructure and Environment
f.
Agriculture
g.
Conflict Resolution

Implementation Time Frame
Proposed activities must be completed within 12 months of receiving initial disbursement of funds.
 
Results
The output or results outlined in proposals should be measurable and demonstrate a direct impact on the themes and areas outlined by YDP 2006. Projects with the sole final output of research, such as publications, training or conferences/forums with no directly verifiable results will be ineligible.
 
Maximum Award Size
The maximum award size will be Rs. 3,00,000. Awards to winners will vary in size according to the needs outlined in their proposals.
 
Languages
Proposals may be submitted in English or Nepali.
