Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON) is an award winning national umbrella network of youth-led organizations, which acts as a platform for collaboration, cooperation, joint action and collective endeavors between youth organizations in Nepal. AYON currently has 92 youth led member organizations from 44 districts of Nepal. Working since 2005, AYON has pioneered in building capacity of youth and youth organizations, undertaking quality research, and carrying out meaningful advocacy to bridge youth voices at the decision making level. Our work and impact over the years has been recognized nationally and internationally. This has been possible through the team of awesome young people we work with. We are looking to expand our team members, and work together to make meaningful impact in the lives of young people and other communities that we work with.
- Admin and Finance Coordinator (initially for 6 months)
Admin and Finance Coordinator will be responsible to oversee the operations of admin and finance department, set goals and objectives and implement them. This includes building and strengthening administration and financial systems of the organization; and ensuring its compliance in collaboration with Management and Board. The Coordinator will be responsible for leading budget formulation, as well as periodic financial reporting as per the need of the organization. Experience: More than two years working on similar position on Non-Profit sector.
- Sr. Program Officer (initially for 6 months)
Sr. Program Officer is responsible for managing programs and projects as assigned. The work will include program design, proposal development, project implementation and reporting. People with proven expertise on results based management; and monitoring and evaluation will be prioritized. Experience: Two year of experience working on similar position or responsibilities.
- Content Writer for Accountability Website and Newsletter
The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor the activities of AYON’s Accountability School Training participants; monitor media news; and desk study current progress on reconstruction works of Government and other Stakeholders. The writer will then be responsible for building effective content for AYON’s website and newsletter to bring to fore the issues of accountability and transparency on earthquake reconstruction works, and raise the voices of affected communities. Strong writing and analytical skills with passion on communication needed. People with experience working on media and creative content writing are also encouraged to apply.
- Manual Development Consultant
AYON has been implementing Nepal Youth Corps, an innovative program to build the capacity of youth on the topics of disaster response, activism, volunteerism and innovative community solutions. The main responsibility of the Manual Development Consultant will be to study documents from past trainings; and develop a youth and user friendly Training Manual. The Consultant should have prior experience of developing training manual on programs of similar nature.
